General Information
The school uniform must be worn. The correct uniform is available
at Cave Shepherd. Varying shades of grey or blue pants and different
types of material will not be accepted. Gym shoes may not be worn
with the school uniform. They must be worn with gym uniform only.
Florescent' laces are not permitted. Parents will be expected
to replace or alter any part of the school uniform which does not
satisfy the requirements of the school. At the end of the scheduled
P.E. classes (periods 4, 6 & 8) pupils must change into the
full school uniform, including the regulation shoes.
The following items are available from the
school:
games shirts, games shorts, epaulettes, school belts.
Jewellery
Please discourage your child/ward from wearing or bringing valuable
jewellery to school. It is against the rules to do so, whether it
is visible or not.
No jewellery (excluding earrings overleaf), make-up or nail varnish
may be worn.
Your son may not wear jewellery (excluding a watch) either in school
or when
wearing his school uniform outside of school. The co-operation of
all parents is earnestly requested in this matter.
Earrings
Small circular studs only may be worn by girls whose ears are pierced.
They may be gold or dark blue. Earrings decorated with coloured
stones or sparkling glass are not permissible.
No dangling earrings of any description will be permitted.
ONLY ONE PAIR OF EARRINGS MAY BE WORN AT ONE TIME.
BOYS ARE NOT PERMITTED TO WEAR EARRINGS.
Hairstyles
Girls
Hair must be neatly styled so that features are not in any way obscured.
There must be no perpendicular tufts of hair or loose multiple braids
or curls.
Only tortoiseshell, dark brown, black or colourless slides, or black,
navy blue, or ROYAL BLUE ribbon may be worn in the hair. Hair ornaments
must be limited to ONE of these colours. No white, silver or gold
clips must be worn.
Boys
Boys are NOT permitted to have haircuts with decorative patterns
of any kind, (including broad lines or irregular lengths), nor clean-shaven
scalps and high or curly flat tops.
Hair on the top of the head must be no longer than one inch above
the front hairline.
