The Queen's College Football Team recorded a win against the Barbados Community College at the Q.C grounds. At half-time the score was 1-0 in favour of the Q.C boys. At the end of the game, Queen's College had recorded a 2-0 win, with both goals being scored by Shawn Armstrong.

 

With this win the Queen's College boys move into the quarter-finals against the Harrison's College.

 

The Queen's College Junior Chess Team recorded a 6-4 victory over the Metropolitan High School last Saturday. The team continues its marvelous all-round play in the competition.

 

The Captain Ettiene Fund, which was started recently, had collected $1600 at the end of February. The fund was set up to assist the Ettiene family as it is still trying to come to grips with the loss of their loved one. More funds are expected to be collected, since all forms have not yet submitted money.

 

Pre - CXC examinations have already got underway with the 1st English paper and the foreign language oral examinations. The rest of the written examinationns are scheduled to start on the 5th March, 2001. All students taking these exams are asked to approach them with upmost importance as these cn determine your final grade in the CXC examinations.

 

The 2001 Graduation Committee will be hosting a talent show shortly to help in the raising of funds for the gruaduation. All students who are interested in participating in this fund-raiser are asked to meet with members of the graduation committee as soon as possible.

 

Orange House, the defending Queen's College sports champions have extended their lead in the points standings by 37 points over the new & improved Red House. Sports Day will decided which house has what it takes to be the champion.
