The Harrison College Key Club is a non-profit service organisation whose aim is to involve youth in a number of activities geared to develop initiative, leadership and interest in community service. The meaning of Key is "Kiwanis Educate Youth" but the Keyclubbers educate themselves by using their aforementioned initiative and leadership skills. Very suitably, the club's motto is "Caring - Our Way of Life" and particular emphasis is placed on service to the home, school, community, nation and above all else God.
Origins
The Key Club International was formed in 1925 in Sacremento, California. However, the Harrison College Key Club was only formed in 1990 by a group of keen students and staff members. The Harrison College Key Club with its sixty members have won numerous awards including Key Club of the Year in its district, the Eight Flags District. The club can also boast of having the Eight Flags District Lieutenant Governor for two years running as well as other District Board Members.

With a portion of the Key Club Pledge being to build the home, school and community, the Harrison College Key Club has undertaken projects such as environmental clean-ups (including the school's surroundings), nursing and children's homes' projects and fundraising for research and treatment facilities for Cancer, Lupus and AIDS.
